Roughly 200 people turned out to the Village Street Social on Sep 9, despite the cold temperature and last-minute change in location.

There was something magical about sitting on Gilmour Street at the corner of Bank, watching the Wizard of Oz on an outdoor movie screen.

Organizer Glenn Crawford says the event raised $1,500 for the Village initiative.

What a great evening!
Thanks so much to Glenn, our very handsome Wizard of Oz, for pulling off such a great evening. Craig, you were the most glamourous and enchanting Dorothy ever! Have you considered auctioning off thiose gorgeous ruby slippers in support of the Village initiative. I'll start the bidding at $20.00. Do I hear $25.00?
