On Sep 23, religious right groups launched the 40 Days of Life campaign, protesting outside of abortion clinics across a Canada. In Ottawa they set up camp outside the Morgentaler Clinic on Bank Street, Ottawa's only private abortion provider.
This time the anti-abortion supporters faced a grassroots campaign called Every Day for Choice. Members from Pro-choice Coalition of Ottawa (PCCO), positioned themselves outside the clinic in support of a woman's right to choose.
Their group may be small but their members are passionate, fiery and will not give up.
PCCO's first protest will end on Nov 1.
