May 14 marked the 40th anniversary of the passage of C-150, the bill that clawed back regulation on gay sex, contraception and abortion. It forever linked gays and abortion activists under the banner "my body, my choice." Over the past decade, May 14 has also become a rally day for Christian anti-abortionists.
The so-called March For Life rally and pray-in is held in Ottawa every year, with busloads of students trucked in to flesh out their ranks. This year, university-aged feminists held a counter-rally at the Human Rights Monument (above) to protest the march.
