On Jul 2, the Davie stroll came alive once more as community members, sex worker advocates and politicians marked the 25th anniversary of a court injuction that quashed the once vibrant sex trade in Vancouver's gay village.

Good article. Yes, Champagne Charlies, Denny's (open 24 hours), and the Taurus Spa were all well frequented and had a unique atmosphere of their own.

I'm wondering if shining such a positive light on a trade that is so closely linking with crime, drugs, human trafficing, suicide, murder, broken dreams, child abuse, etc is the right thing to do ?
